Hello, My name is Lyle Stokes, I build Blackhorse Custom fishing rods. I built my first rod in 1983, and have been building rods since. My need for something I couldn't buy is the reason and the pleasure of building them and catching fish on them continues today. I am committed to building you a fishing rod that is not only funtional but one that you will be proud to use and show other fishermen and women.

My wife and I fish catfish tournaments along with my sons, brother and nephew. We know what it takes to have a rod that stands up to the test of big water and large cats.

I am constantly trying to improve the quality and to buy parts in mass amounts to save you the client some cost.

Hello Lyle I got to use the rod in a tournament on Saturday here SWEET had my big fish on it 47.14 lbs handled very well. Got to show it to some of the guys two of them made some cast with it as well.
